now...the news
...very exciting for 2008 - 2009 school year!
along with having a college ready Pep
Band, a state level Symphonic Band,
a crowd wowing Varsity Band, a
swinging Jazz Band, and a dynamite Marching Band...
The Truman Band program, which
currently involves all classes with the study of music theory
in addition to the normal rigorous
rehearsal schedule will be implementing the study of music appreciation.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?????
Well, we will be studying (in Varsity
& Symphonic Band classes) the influence of music around the
world.
From music of the Middle Ages through
the pop cultures of the 21st century!
A focus will be placed on the history
of jazz.
Many materials will be available on
this website (and a few other too!)

*Golf Cart / Riding Lawn Mower / 4 Wheeler (and a trailer to get it to/from competitions)
*Trailer (to transport pit percussion equipment, color guard equipment and large instruments)
*Money (for equipment/uniform purchases)
