Yet another year on the horizon...
This is year number 11 for me as band director at Truman and I am pretty excited. Getting Jazz Band back as a daily class is awesome and having only one section of Varsity Band will be great - sorry no more mass rehearsals getting one hour of students out of class. I think it will be good for everyone even though the room will be a bit crowded.
Marching Band is going well, although I am concerned about attendance. We have such a busy year I just want the band to be great. Found out the other day we have been accepted to perform at the Thanksgiving Day Parade downtown Detroit - very cool! Next week I will find out if we are going to go to Florida in April of 2012.
Personally its been a crazy year...got married, expecting a son (Dec. 25 - no joke that's the due date). Life is good!
